From 02 to 09 April 2016, Tirol's Ötztal warmly invites gays and lesbians to a fun-filled Ski Week
Following the traces of Agent 007 at the Gay Snow Happening 2016
Only a few more months and we will see another edition of an ultimate party event: the Gay Snow Happening 2016! After a one-year break, Sölden in Tirol's Ötztal once again plays host to Europe's biggest Ski Party in Pink. Hundreds of gay and lesbian party owls will get together in one of the most renowned winter sport resorts from 02 to 09 April 2016. The whole village and all its roads, places and bars will become a huge party mile offering heaps of fun, action and entertaining programs – during the day and all night long.
A really unique highlight is scheduled for the splendid Gay Snow Happening 2016: sport fans and those in search of entertainment can follow the traces of James Bond Agent 007. Sölden was one of the original shooting locations of the latest Agent 007 movie - "Spectre" with James Bond and Ötztal's mountain landscape in the leading roles. The glacier slopes, the glacier road and the spectacular ice Q restaurant on Gaislachkogel peak made for a breathtaking film scenery. The new glass cube with a design restaurant inside, serves mouth-watering Alpine Cuisine and Fine Wines either in the deluxe Lounge or on the panoramic Terrace overlooking the stunning Ötztal Mountains. Not only the Agent 007 film crew was totally enthusiastic about this spot, also the 2016 Gay Snow Happening team looks forward to a scenic Meet & Greet at the ice Q.
The varied event program is being prepared and loads of fun-filled attractions will be scheduled for snow fans – among them the Adrenalin Cup including ten fabulous disciplines for ambitious ski bunnies and passionate sun worshippers. Also in 2016, a series of top party labels will guarantee long dance nights. Of course, party owls should not miss out on the renowned get-together at the completely renovated Hühnersteign mountain hut. Other highlights comprise superb après-ski happenings, a karaoke night, bowling at moonlight, a fun race and a lovely fondue evening. High up in the mountains and deep down in the valley, Melli & Mataina – the highly celebrated Drag Queens from Berlin – will rule the entire ski week, presenting a huge variety of entertaining spectacles on occasion of the Gay Snow Happening 2016.
Last but not least, skiing fans and snowboard aficionados meet every morning at Giggijoch and, for the first time, also at Gaislachkogel for a fun-filled winter sports day in the snow. No matter if you are an absolute beginner or a real glacier skiing expert, everyone will find a matching group and loads of fun. In 2016 different types of Event Passes are available: they have one thing in common – varied program highlights and events in a row, chosen individually at one's pleasure. What's best, quick deciders can take full advantage of the ultimate Early Booking Deal.
